Childcare Ministries Zimbabwe (CCMZ) is a faith-based, non-profit organisation that was founded in 1989 dedicated to the holistic development and transformation of children and young people in Zimbabwe. CCMZ has a long-standing history of serving vulnerable groups through compassionate care and practical support. The organisation’s head office is located at 33 Josiah Tongogara Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and its operational areas currently cover Bulawayo, Tsholotsho and Umzingwane district with the consent of the respective local authorities.
The School feeding project was started with 30 schools being supported by CCM and its partners in 2009 as an expansion of the work that resumed in 2007. The project now supports over 86 schools feeding over 51,000 children in the Tsholotsho and Umzingwane Districts in Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South respectively.
This CCM’s new initiative is a project centred around women empowerment through small livestock. As part of this program, we are focusing on raising rabbits, and chickens, and producing eggs, all while promoting self-sustainability, confidence, and skill development among women.
The Child Sponsorship Program is a pen pal system where sponsors write letters to their sponsored children and their relationship grows with time. The program has been in existence since 2011 to date. The whole aim for the program is to bring hope to children in hard places for the children and as an organisation, we seek to Transform One Child at a Time… Today.
